Rudy The Mouse

Rudy is a gentle mouse who lives under the front steps to Santa's house at the North Pole.  One Christmas Eve, after Santa has returned from delivering presents to children all over the world, and the reindeer and elves have gone to bed, Rudy finds himself sitting outside Santa's house wondering why he can't go to sleep.

Just when he is about to turn in, Rudy sees an angel coming down from the North Star with a basket on her arm.  He hides under the steps and watches the angel place the basket on Santa's front steps.  When the angel goes back up, Rudy looks inside and sees a tiny baby girl.  The angel returns and scolds Rudy for not being asleep, but then she asks him to be the little girl's guardian, and never to tell her how she came to Santa's house.

Rudy agrees and becomes the little girl's friend.  (Santa and Mrs. Claus name her Sandra, by the way.)  Sandra never grows to be very big, and this causes her frustration.  Read how Rudy discovers how brave and compassionate he truly is.  Plus he can grow antlers on Christmas Eve!
